About the service

Sanitize is provided by Avalanche Financial Inc. It helps you identify and cover information in PDFs and JPG/PNG images you are authorized to process. Personal and professional use are supported. You keep ownership of your documents and are responsible for having permission to use them.

These terms describe the app service. Payment transactions sold through Link also use the terms displayed at checkout. Nothing here limits rights that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

Review is required

Automatic detection can miss identifiers or cover information you wanted to keep, including financial values. OCR can misread clear-looking text. Handwriting, shadows, blur, unusual layouts and unsupported languages need particular care. Reading-confidence indicators describe recognized text, not a guarantee that every sensitive detail was found.

You must review the complete exported document before sharing it. Sanitize is not a guarantee of anonymity, complete redaction, or suitability for a legal, tax, financial, medical or regulatory purpose. Do not rely on it as professional advice.

Redacted PDFs are rebuilt from reviewed page images, without the original searchable text, forms, signatures or hidden PDF objects. Text exports omit image/OCR content and may lose layout or reading order. Split PDFs are unredacted and may retain hidden content. Splitting is not sanitization.

Free access and purchases

• Free redacted PDF and text downloads cover reviewed documents or sections of up to three pages. Splitting, scanning and previewing longer documents are free.
• A $5 USD pack unlocks two source PDFs. All sections of the same exact source file, corrections and repeat PDF/TXT exports share one unlock. A changed source file can count as a new source.
• Pro is $29 USD for unlimited source documents in v1, subject to the app’s file and processing limits. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. A qualifying first pack can contribute $5 toward one Pro upgrade.
• Prices exclude any applicable tax. Checkout displays the final amount and currency before payment.
• A credit is used when the server records the source unlock after the selected outputs are generated. If a response or download is interrupted afterward, retry the same source with the same purchase account; the recorded unlock is reused.

Credits have no scheduled expiry. Refunds or disputes can revoke the affected purchase, its source unlocks, and a discounted Pro upgrade that depends on it.

Devices, recovery and internet access

Paid access is for one purchaser, for personal or professional use, in up to two active browser installations. Chrome and Safari on the same computer count as two browsers. Do not share purchase access, recovery codes or email-verification codes with other people. Activate another browser by email and, if both slots are occupied, choose an old browser to remove. Each additional person needs their own purchase.

Verify your purchase email before checkout and keep your recovery code private. Restore purchase accepts the verified email or recovery code and sends an approval code to the owner email. Older purchases without a verified email require the recovery code or an existing session, followed by verification of the original checkout email. Browser approvals last up to 30 days; expiry, signout or cleared cookies can require email approval again. Replacing a recovery code requires email approval and signs out other browsers. Losing access to your email requires support verification; a receipt alone does not automatically restore access.

After offline setup, scanning, review, free exports and unredacted split downloads can work offline. Purchasing, restoring access and every paid download, including Pro, require an internet connection. Browser cache can be removed or evicted; it is not a permanent copy of the service.

Refunds and payment help

We do not offer voluntary refunds. This does not limit refunds or other remedies required by applicable law or available under Stripe/Link terms.

For transaction or refund requests, use Link support or contact our product support. Approved refunds can revoke the related paid access.

Version access and service changes

We commit to keeping v1 paid-download verification and product support available for at least 12 months after your purchase. This is a minimum service commitment, not an automatic expiry of credits or paid access. If we cannot meet this commitment, any remedies required by applicable law or Stripe/Link terms still apply.

V1 updates are included in a v1 purchase. A future major version may be sold separately; upgrading is optional. Paid access depends on our verification service and does not promise indefinite hosting or compatibility with every future device or browser. We will communicate material changes to access and any planned service closure before they take effect where required.

Limits, misuse and contact

The app accepts one PDF, JPG or PNG at a time, up to 25 MB. Images are limited to 16 megapixels and 12,000 pixels on either side; animated images are not supported. Each image opens as one page and downloads as a redacted PDF, qualifying for free access. Image uploads do not offer JPG/PNG output or a text-only export. PDFs can be processed in sections of up to 150 pages, with additional memory and output limits. Supported performance depends on your browser, device and document. Keep your originals and check exported files.

Do not use the service unlawfully, interfere with its operation, or attempt to obtain another person’s purchase access. The app is provided without a promise that detection will be complete or uninterrupted, subject to any rights and obligations that cannot be excluded by law.
